 The earthing of the link is done with help of a drain wire. Its location in the connector will change according to the grade.
For grade 1, the drain wire is inserted into the dedicated hole of the clamping plate to ensure continuity through RJ45 socket.
For grade 3, can be refolded on the cable sheath before beeing recovered with the shielding of the RJ45 socket grade 3. | 
A VDI housing cable can't be unwinded, it must be unrolled (like a garden hose) in order to keep its lineic form. VDI housing cables must be installed in sheaths (diameter 20 grade 1 and 25 grade 3).
Once the cable installed, cut approximately 15 cm of the damaged end after the installation in the sheath. Actually, the traction of the pulling-cable grip on that first length will modify the twist of the copper wires.
Insert your wires into the adapted clamping plate of the connector. The arrangement of the wires must be done in accordance to standard 568A or B (the important thing is to use the same at each end of the link).
Throughout the wiring of the links, it is strongly recommanded to do a continuity of the link test.
